Helping Hands
Being a non-profit organization means that we need to find all of our own funding, and this is an area where we have been so abundantly blessed. The support from our community has been amazing, as evidenced in our beautiful new office building. It’s always amazing when different groups come to us with money that they have raised for the Centre. We’ve had two such instances in the past week.
Last week, a group of students from Coaldale Christian School came in and brought us a “cheque” for over $1100! This was money that they raised as a group, wanting to support the work that is done here.
Today, Robin Reiter with Jockey Fashion came in with a cheque for over $2,700 – the proceeds from the Jockey P2P Fashion Show held on March 10. This was an event to introduce the new spring line from Jockey, and the organizers wanted to help a local organization at the same time.
Thanks so much to both of these organizations – it’s wonderful to have the support of the community, and to have helping hands like these working with us to help the women and men of our city.
