Your First Appointment at the Lethbridge Pregnancy Care Centre
There are many reasons people decide to book an appointment at the Lethbridge Pregnancy Care Centre. Some think they may be pregnant and don’t want to be alone while taking a pregnancy test. Some people know they are pregnant and are unsure what they want to do next. Some people have had an abortion experience and want to process that experience in a safe environment. Whatever your reason for coming, we want the experience to be as smooth as possible.
You can book an appointment online or by calling/texting, (403) 942-1819. We also accept walk-in appointments; however, you may need to wait for a bit if we are busy.
Once you’ve made your way to our downtown offices, you will be greeted by our receptionist Bailey or another staff member or volunteer. You will be asked to read over our Limitations of Services, explaining what services we do and do not provide.
The next step is to meet with a client advocate who will begin the intake appointment. While going through our intake form, you will explore if our services fit your needs. This appointment is about 1 hour long.
If the LPCC is not a good fit for your needs, we will help connect you with other community resources.
Your client advocate will help you book any follow-up appointments as you leave the centre.
Our goal is to be a safe space for you and your needs. Your first appointment at the LPCC is just the beginning, whether you go on to access practical supports or participate in programs or classes. We hope you leave feeling empowered and supported.
