3 Girls, 3 Stories
We’re one week into 2014, and already so many things have changed for so many people. In this past week, we’ve had 3 different women walk through our doors, all in very different situations. **
One was a 21-year old looking for confirmation of a positive test she’d taken at home. She’s got a job that she loves at a local shop, a family that loves her, and the father of the baby committed to standing by her.
One was a mid-20’s professional, who left her office on her lunch break to come down to the Centre for a pregnancy test. Recently married, she’s in a committed relationship, but unsure of how the news of an unexpected pregnancy will be received by her new husband.
One was a 19 year-old student, in the middle of her second year of post-secondary education, pregnant for the second time, confused and needing someone to talk to. With her family out-of-province, an abortion in her past, and a boyfriend saying “it’s up to you”, she just doesn’t know what to do.
3 girls. 3 stories. 3 pregnancies. 3 lives, drastically changed.
This is why the LPCC opened – to walk alongside these women, and so many others like them. If you’d like to support this work, please consider donating. There are so many stories in our city, and we want to be a part of them.
