Letter from Monica Fall 2020
Dear Friends,
In March 2011, a meeting was held in the basement of The Keg, looking for support in the community for a pregnancy care centre. Over 160 people attended that night, giving a strong vote of confidence for this project that was still in the dream stage.
That was over nine years ago. Today, the Lethbridge Pregnancy Care Centre celebrates almost seven years of serving women and men in Southern Alberta. Housed in 3,500 sq. ft. of beautifully renovated downtown office space, the staff of five and over twenty volunteers bring hope and support to women and men facing an unexpected pregnancy each and every day. Since opening, over 1,250 individual women and men have come into the Centre and received care and compassion.
There has been much change and growth within the Centre over these past nine years and it wouldn’t have happened without you. Without your strong support, the Centre would not have gotten off the ground. Thank you for your faithful support, both financially and prayerfully.
We have much to celebrate and thank God for as we look back on the history of the LPCC, but also as we look forward. While a change in leadership marks a crossroads in the story of the Centre, it also signals the opening of a new and exciting chapter.
I am grateful to have served as the Executive Director of the LPCC for these past eight years. Thank you to each one of you, as you have all been a part of this journey. I look forward to how God will grow and use the Centre, through each one of you, to have an immeasurable impact on our community.
